District Service Clarification

Please note: we are being informed that Boulder County has issued a reverse-911 call to many county residents who are NOT Left Hand Water District customers. The Left Hand Water District serves the unincorporated areas from the Foothills Highway (Highway 36) and I-25, between Longmont and Boulder/Erie, exclusive of the annexed areas of those communities. This includes the entire village of Niwot and many rural subdivisions. It does NOT include any annexed areas of neighboring municipalities. Generally speaking: if you live in annexed Longmont, Boulder, Erie, Lafayette, Frederick, Firestone, or other neighboring municipalities, you are not a Left Hand Water District customer. Exceptions to this rule include the Wyndham Hill subdivision in Frederick and the Pleasant Ridge subdivision in Boulder. If you pay your monthly water bill to us, you are our customer, and are therefore covered by the boil water advisory; if you pay your monthly bill to another entity, you are their customer and not subject to our advisories. Please feel free to forward specific questions to lhwd@lefthandwater.org.
