Update – 9/16/2013 6:30pm

We apologize that we have not been able to post updates as frequently today.  It has been a very busy, and very productive, day for District staff.  We are progressing well in our efforts to meet the state’s requirements to have the boil advisory lifted, and we are still targeting being able to have it lifted on Tuesday, late afternoon or evening.  WE WILL ANNOUNCE WHEN THE ADVISORY HAS BEEN LIFTED.  UNTIL WE MAKE AN ANNOUNCEMENT, THE BOIL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT.  Phones are back up and running at our admin offices, and we have arranged for staff to be able to man the lines until 8:00pm tonight.  Most areas of the District should have water at this time, except those listed in the “Extended Outage” announcements.  We have also discovered a previously undiscovered break in a line that has a few properties along Weld County Road 7, just south of Highway 119, out of water.  Crews will be working to get those homes online on Tuesday.  For the “Extended Outage” customers, we believe many may be online by Tuesday evening.  The area around 41st/Oxford Road will remain out of service until at least Wednesday, as this area was impacted by a 1,000-foot break in one of our lines.  Crews will be starting to lay temporary pipelines in that area on Tuesday, but will likely not be able to complete the connection until Wednesday.  Overall we remain optimistic about the larger recovery and grateful to all who have contributed to the strides we have been able to make so far.  And above all we thank our customers for their wonderful support and patience.
