District Adjusts Water Usage Restrictions

Water flowing through turnout structure from Left Hand Valley Reservoir

The Left Hand Water District has completed a project that is allowing raw water to be delivered from Left Hand Valley Reservoir.  The water available in the reservoir will be sufficient to provide treated water to District customers through the winter of 2013.  As a result, the District has downgraded its drought mitigation level from Stage 4 (Extreme) to Stage 1 (Mild).  As of November 13, 2013, the prohibition on outdoor use is rescindedCustomers are requested to voluntarily limit irrigation of landscaped areas to two days per week, and to minimize or discontinue water use for non-essential purposes.
